I've been where you are.

That's exactly why I do this work.

I'm Michelle — Certified Primal Health Coach, midlife woman in progress, and someone who had to lose her health completely before she learned how to truly take care of it.

My Story

I'll never forget the moment my husband had to carry me out of a national park on his back.

I couldn't walk. My chest was pounding. We were both terrified. This wasn't supposed to be my life — a mom, wife, and entrepreneur who could barely make it through a family hike.

For years, I'd been running on empty. Falling asleep during short car rides. Nodding off at family movie nights. My periods were so heavy they forced me to rearrange my life for days each month. I kept pushing myself to exercise — thinking that's what healthy people do — but every workout left me more depleted than before.

The truth? I was severely anemic. My blood counts were dangerously low. I needed blood transfusions and urgent medical attention.

The breaking point came when I lost consciousness at business dinners. Twice. In front of colleagues. The embarrassment was overwhelming — but worse was seeing the fear in my husband's eyes. I knew something had to change.

I don't want you to hit rock bottom before you realize something needs to change.

The Turning Point

With medical guidance and a complete shift in how I nourished my body, I began the slow work of recovery. After a decade of depletion as a vegetarian, my body was starving for specific nutrients. As a family, we reintroduced meat and animal products — this was a game-changer.

But nutrition was only part of the equation. I learned to manage my stress, spent intentional time in nature, and began to truly listen to what my body needed. I became my own health experiment — learning everything I could about nutrition, hormones, and restoration.

Slowly, my energy returned. I could be active again without feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. I started building real strength and loving what my body could do.

Then I made a new mistake — I went too far in the other direction.

Finding Balance

At 40-something, I was at the gym 5–6 days a week doing high-intensity workouts. I looked fit — but injuries started creeping in. I'd been raised in the 'eat less, move more' era, and the idea of pulling back for rest felt like failure.

My hormones were shifting. Chronic cardio was elevating my cortisol. Overtraining was driving inflammation. The belly fat wasn’t a willpower problem-it was a biological response to a life my body wasn’t designed for.

I dove into everything I could find about midlife hormones, ancestral health, and how the female body changes after 40. I enrolled in the Primal Health Coach Institute and found the framework that finally made sense of everything I'd experienced. I cut back my strength sessions, allowing time for recovery and filled the rest with movement I loved —stretching in morning sunlight, tai chi, yoga, walking outside, hiking, sprinting uphill because it makes me feel powerful!

I felt stronger than I had in decades. Not despite cutting back — because of it.

And then menopause arrived.

Some days I wake up feeling like Wonder Woman. Some days I don't recognize myself. I'm still in the middle of it — and that's exactly why I understand what you're going through.

I'm still in it. Menopause is not a problem I solved — it's a season I'm navigating, and it keeps asking me to learn. During times of high stress I see more belly fat. When I don't sleep well it shows up as anxiety. What worked last year sometimes doesn't work this year. I have to keep pivoting, keep adjusting, keep paying attention.

And I'm learning to do that with patience and love for this body that has carried me through so much. That's the real work. Not just the food and the movement — but the relationship with yourself at this season of life.

Why I Do This Work

My transformation took years because I was figuring it out on my own — piecing together information, reading everything I could get my hands on — books on women's health, longevity, sleep, nutrition, hormones, fitness, and mobility — learning through trial and error. When friends and family started asking what I was doing differently, when they came to me for advice about their own health struggles, I realized I wanted to help other women find their way faster than I did.

I don't want anyone to spend years struggling like I did. I don't want you to hit rock bottom before you realize something needs to change. I don't want you to live with constant exhaustion, thinking it's just part of being busy or getting older.

You deserve to feel vibrant, strong, and energized in your own body.

My journey taught me that sustainable health isn't about extremes — it's about finding the right balance for your body, your life, your season. It's about learning to listen to what your body is telling you and giving it what it needs to thrive.

If you're ready to write a different story, I'd be honored to guide you.
